Harrogate is a town in Yorkshire, UK, which has been famous as a spa town since 1571, when the first medical spring was discovered. Harrogate reached its peak as a spa town in the XIX century, in the Victorian age, when the Turkish Baths were built.

Harrogate Turkish Baths were built in Moorish style, with mosaics, arches and screens. The Baths were enlarged and completely restored between 2002 and 2004; they belong to Harrogate City Council and they offer modern spa facilities, with a touch of history.

  • Three interconnecting hot room chambers called tepidarium (warm), calidarium (hot) and laconium (the hottest). The people using the facilities start in the tepidarium and progress towards the hottest room. The cycle can be repeated as many times as one wants.
